TAG YOUR PETS – APRIL 1, 2010

With Easter this weekend, just a quick reminder that chocolate can be very dangerous for your pets. Be sure and keep the Easter Baskets out of the reach of your dogs and cats.

National Pet ID week is April 18-24. It is so important to have identification on your pet at all times. We never know when our dog or cat might slip away from us and without identification it is so hard to get them back.

Nothing is more heartbreaking than losing a pet. One permanent form of identification is to have your pet micro chipped.

Check out the Home Again website at http://public.homeagain.com for more details.

But, it is also important to have a tag with their name and your phone number and/or address. These tags are inexpensive and available at most pet stores. These are invaluable if your pet is found by a neighbor they can call you instead of Animal Control.

The weather is getting nice and we will all be outside more with our pets and there will more chance of them getting lost.

Be sure to have identification on your pet for their safety and your peace of mind.
